Springtime brings with it that most unique of American traditions: Opening Day for Major League baseball. Our beloved Washington Nationals will start the 2023 season on Thursday, March 30th.
The Nats will host their NL East rival Atlanta Braves in their season opener at Nationals Park. After a disappointing 5th place finish in the NL East in 2022, the Nats are looking to bounce back in a big way. The road to success will be a steep one in 2023, however. Both division foes the Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets topped 100 wins last season, and the Philadelphia Phillies went on a postseason run to represent the NL in the World Series.
Each offseason, teams will make moves to improve themselves. The Nats have picked up six potentially exciting free agents. But no offseason is all champagne and roses. Talented players Nelson Cruz, Luke Voit, Joe Ross and Cesar Hernandez did move on.
Tickets are available for Opening Day, and the start of each new season is always one full of hope and excitement. Treat yourself to a day out at the ballpark and be part of what we here at 909 hope will be a magical 2023 season.
